About Mentors<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

While Fellows are the academic senior counterparts to our Scholars, Mentors provide the essential non-academic perspective<\/span>: leadership experience in a professional world outside Canadian and global universities.<\/span> As senior role models outside the <\/span>a<\/span>cademic setting, <\/span> Mentors are examples of success and inspire others with their practical experiences.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Mentors are selected following a rigorous process lasting several months. An independent committee evaluates all applications and proposes a list of finalists to the Board of Directors. Since 2024-2025, interested candidates may also nominate themselves for the Mentorship Program.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Mentors may be from various sectors and professional domains, whether private, public, para-public or non-profit. Their professional achievements and range of skills are of great value to our Scholars.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

They share their knowledge, for instance, about communication and public engagement, team and project management, financial and entrepreneurial skills, social innovation, negotiation, networking, creative and design thinking, and resilience in the face of adversity.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
