Jérémy Boulanger-Bonnelly is Assistant Professor at McGill University's Faculty of Law. His research focuses on access to civil justice, using mainly comparative methods. His current projects focus on the concept of person-centered justice and the role of citizen participation in improving access to justice, notably through the lay tribunal model.
Professor Boulanger-Bonnelly holds a doctorate in legal science from the University of Toronto, where his studies were supported by a Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation scholarship and a Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship. He also holds a Bachelor of Civil and Common Law from McGill University. A member of the Quebec Bar, he worked as a law clerk to Justice Clément Gascon at the Supreme Court of Canada, then as a civil litigation lawyer in Montreal. Alongside his research, he is actively involved in a number of access to justice initiatives, notably as a pro bono lawyer.
